Liability
Please do not leave the rental goods unattended at the stand after the end of the trade fair. Liability lies with you as the renter until return - but no later than 24 hours after the end of the event - as described in the purchase order terms. We recommend that you take out insurance for the rented items or book appropriate security via our shop.

Rental letting agreement
The rental objects are made available only for the purpose and time period agreed upon. A prolongation of the rental period requires the lessor's written consent. The lessor is entitled to charge an additional rental, should the rental objects not be available to him at the time agreed upon. The lessor's assertion of any further compensation claim remains untouched. Useful changes of indicated dimensions, shapes and colors remain reserved.

Delivery and collection
The delivery of all orders without an indicated delivery date are carried out early enough for the rental objects to be available at the event's start. The handover takes place with the signature of the lessee and a handover protocol. The lessee is responsible for the proper handling of the rented property provided and must ensure adequate insurance cover until the equipment provided is returned. After the end of the event, the rented property will be collected directly costs a previously agreed collection time as part of the security dismantling process. The lessee must make the rented property available for collection in an orderly manner. The return shall be recorded accordingly. Should the rental objects' delivery or collection be prevented due to the lessee's faulty conduct, the lessor may charge the lessee for the additional costs caused.

Ordering electricity supply
The supply of electricity must be ordered separately in the according category.

Liability and compensation
The lessee may be held liable for damage to the rented property and losses in the amount of the replacement value or in the amount of the repair costs, provided that these do not exceed the replacement value. For lost or destroyed rental equipment, the lessee shall be held directly liable by Deutsche Messe's service provider - UEBERKOPF GmbH Riggingservice & Veranstaltungstechnik - for the replacement value according to the manufacturer's list price. Deutsche Messe AG has assigned its claims against the lessee to the service provider in this respect. This does not affect the lessor’s right to assert further claims for damages caused by delay or the payment of the hire charge. Liability begins with delivery to the exhibition stand and ends with collection from there. This also applies if the exhibition stand is not occupied. Liability lies with the exhibitor from delivery until 24 hours after the end of the trade fair. Unless the hired goods were not made available for collection or another collection date was agreed. Any liability on the part of the lessor for possible damages to property or persons in connection with usage of the rented object is excluded, unless the lessor is demonstrated to have been guilty of malicious intent or gross negligence.

Outdoor use
The displays offered here are not suitable for outdoor use. If rented equipment is damaged by rain, cold or heat, the customer is liable for the full replacement value. Products especially suitable for outdoor use must be requested individually from the service provider.


Faults and substitute delivery
The lessee is responsible for checking for himself that the rental object is in proper condition and complete at the point of acceptance and is obligated to reprimand immediately. Should this not be exercised, the goods are considered to be faultless. The same applies to the acceptance by the lessor. In the case of a legitimate complaint the lessor may deliver a substitute of equal or higher value for the same price. Claims cannot be enforced on such substitute deliveries. The lessor is relieved from his delivery obligation if he is prevented from delivering by force majeure.

Withdrawal/Termination
Deutsche Messe reserves the right to withdraw from the contract within 10 days of receipt of the order. Withdrawal from/termination of the contract by the lessee is excluded unless warranty claims are asserted. Warranty claims by the customer expire after one year, calculated from the last day of the event, unless Deutsche Messe is guilty of intentional conduct.

Court of jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction is Hannover, Germany. However, Deutsche Messe is at liberty to assert its claims before the court of the place where the lessee has its registered office.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are net prices plus statutory VAT.

Only the prices shown on the order form or order screen on the day of the order apply. These are also listed in the confirmation of receipt of the order, which the exhibitor automatically receives immediately after placing his order.

A partial or full cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the event is free of charge and must be made via the shop.

Partial cancellation means that after an already binding order, individual products are exchanged or the number of items is reduced, resulting in a reduction of the order total. Full cancellation is when the entire order for the products is cancelled after an already binding order.
A cancellation fee will be charged if the order is not cancelled in time (fully or partially). The amount of the cancellation fee depends on the time of cancellation:

• Cancellation from 30 to 14 days before the start of the event: 25%.
• Cancellation 14 to 7 days before the start of the event: 50%.
• Cancellation later than 7 days before the start of the event: 100%.
